Originally from Illinois, Dr. Nathan’s natural love for dentistry stems back to his teen years. Looking up to his father, a passionate dentist, he volunteered on a dental mission trip in Mexico during high school. There, he learned the powerful and meaningful impact that dentistry can have in a person’s life. Around the same time, he was a camp counselor for children and discovered just how much he enjoyed interacting with kids.
After graduating from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2013, Dr. Nathan began transforming smiles as a general dentist and treating underserved children at his local community health center for five years. That’s when he knew he wanted to pursue a whole-hearted career in pediatric dentistry. He went on to complete his pediatric residency at the University of Minnesota, but it didn't stop there!
To provide the highest level of care for his patients, Dr. Nathan made the choice to become board-certified. This voluntary process requires years of specialized training and a rigorous examination that tests knowledge and skills in all aspects of pediatric dentistry, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient management. Rest assured, your child's smile is in great hands.
As a father, husband, and founder of Campfire Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Nathan feels grateful to provide Middleton families with the highest levels of knowledge and support in child-focused dental care. He understands how to communicate with kids of all ages in a way they will appreciate, listening and tending to their individual needs with thoughtful, judgment-free guidance. He hopes his practice can bring peace of mind to every young patient who walks through his doors.
When he’s not treating tiny grins, Dr. Nathan enjoys spending time with the people he loves and making quality memories outdoors. You can usually find him cruising all around Middleton on his bike, ice fishing, kayaking, and going on walks and hikes with his family!
Taking a cue from those sweet moments spent huddled around a campfire, we’ve created an atmosphere that invites comfort and connection for the entire family. Our office will welcome you and your child with tall ceilings, lush plants, and lots of big windows that allow sunshine to spill into the space. Whether it’s getting some fresh air on our cozy wrap-around patio or playing their favorite movie in our relaxing treatment rooms, your little wanderer can always count on a fun and safe experience at our office!
